You Can Support ISRR
in Many Ways
There are many unique ideas for helping ensure
that ISRR can continue reuniting families. We have been blessed by the
generosity of those we serve and for over 30 years have
been able to keep the lights on, doors open and phones answered. It is
the giving nature of individuals which has made it possible for this
registry to be here for you.

In the coming months we will include additional
information on bequests, trusts and other ways to plan for your future
and ours.
Immediate Needs
The immediate focus is to
survive the difficulties that always seem to hit non-profits when
the economy has problems. All contributions are much appreciated to
protect ISRR services during this time.
Since
2003, our number one priority was to complete the preservation of
30+ years of registrations by scanning everything (which meant 48
legal 4-drawer filing cabinets filled to capacity), establish a more
capable data index, increase accessibility and create digital
backups. Volunteers and staff worked diligently and completed this
Imaging Project in the spring of 2008. It was no small task. It took
a major commitment of volunteer time and was funded almost entirely
by donations given by registrants and their families. This new
system allows us to process new registrations and updates more
efficiently, identify matches more effectively, and facilitate
reunions faster. Maybe most important, all registrations are finally
protected by a variety of backups, so now nothing will be lost.
You can make a direct
donation to support this registry by clicking on "Contributions" to

ISRR as the recipient through "Network for Good" by clicking below.

Volunteers
The new
computer system, Virtual Office and telephone system allows our
volunteers and staff to work from anywhere there is internet access
and phone lines. Volunteers are always welcome. There may be
something you can do from another city.
Please
send a letter briefly outlining your background or involvement in
adoption, if any; abilities that might be useful like which computer
programs you use, experience answering phones, familiarity with
social networks and online resources, etc. Include what amount of
time you would like to give (e.g. one day a week, a month, number of
hours) and anything else you would like us to know.

Vegas, NV 89137
In
late Spring 2010, when the program migration and upgrades are
completed, there will be a remote training planned.
If you live in the Las Vegas Area and wish to
volunteer, please call the office at 888-886-4777. If you get voice
mail, leave a message for the Volunteer Coordinator on extension 2.
We
greatly appreciate all the volunteer support -- without it ISRR
would not have flourished for 35 years and continue to offer free
registration. Thank you for considering helping us.
Leave a Legacy
Endowments make possible the future of ISRR's service to persons
seeking reunions with family members from whom they have been
separated. Endowed funds provide support that is reliable, because it
is perpetual. An endowment is a fund established in perpetuity for a
specific purpose, stated by the donor. Earnings from an endowed fund
are used to carry out the donor's purpose while the principle is
safeguarded.
There are a number of ways to give
creatively and offer vital on-going assistance to the work of this
registry. As with all estate and tax planning, it is advised that you
consult your attorney or estate specialist as a guide in evaluating
your individual financial circumstances. If you would like a referral
